Nobody gets to be them but them.
Before LENDZ opened its doors, we reserved the handles of the world's best-known people and companies, so no one can impersonate them here. Look anyone up.
A reserved handle is held for that person or company until they claim it. It does not mean they have joined LENDZ or endorse it.
Some names here belong to people who have died. Their handles are held for their estates, so no one can mock or impersonate them.
The Registry is LENDZ's public lookup of handles reserved before launch for public figures and companies, held so that only the verified person or company can claim them. Each entry shows a name, a handle, a category and a status: reserved, in review, or claimed. A reserved handle does not mean its owner has joined LENDZ or endorses it.
Why we did it
On other platforms, impersonation and parody accounts borrow famous names, and people are fooled by them every day. A fake account can post, sell and spread a rumor in someone else's name long before anyone notices.
On LENDZ, a famous name is held for its owner. A reserved handle cannot be taken at sign-up, and no member can change their handle to it. The lock stays on after the owner claims it, so a fake can't take it.
How a reserved handle is claimed
Claiming a reserved handle is free. A LENDZ reviewer confirms it is really you before it moves.
- 01Procedure 01
Try the handle
Try to sign up with the handle. LENDZ tells you it is reserved and offers to start your claim.
- 02Procedure 02
Sign up with any open handle
Your claim stays with your account. Already a member? Start your claim from this page.
- 03Procedure 03
A reviewer confirms it is you
Fill in the claim form. A LENDZ reviewer confirms it is really you. No reviewer can approve their own claim.
- 04Procedure 04
The handle is yours
The handle moves to your account and your ring turns blue, or purple or orange for reserved musicians and reporters.
What the registry shows, and what it doesn't
It shows only what stops impersonation. Everything else stays private.
Shown
The name, the handle, its category, and its status: reserved, claim in review, or claimed.
Never shown: who claimed it
A claim in review names no one, and the registry never says which account filed a claim.
Never shown: account details
No email, no application, nothing from anyone's account. A claimed handle can link to its public profile, and that is all.
Not listed: premium short handles
The one- and two-character handles LENDZ holds back are not part of the registry.
Questions on file
Q01Does a reserved handle mean that person is on LENDZ?
No. A reserved handle is held for that person or company until they claim it. It does not mean they have joined LENDZ or endorse it.
Q02Can anyone else sign up with a reserved handle?
No. A reserved handle cannot be taken at sign-up, and no member can change their handle to it. It goes only to its owner, once a reviewer confirms it is them.
Q03How does the owner claim it?
They try to sign up with it, or start a claim from this page if they are already a member. A LENDZ reviewer confirms it is really them, and the handle moves to their account. Claiming is free.
Q04My name is on the list. What do I do?
Start your claim. Once a reviewer confirms it is you, the handle is yours and your ring turns blue.
Q05My name is not on the list. Can I still be verified?
Yes. Verification is not limited to the registry. Apply, and a LENDZ reviewer will look at your application.
Q06Why can't I see who claimed a handle?
The registry shows only what protects people from impersonation: the name, the handle, its category and its status. Who filed a claim, and anything about their account, stays private.
Q07Why are the shortest handles missing?
One- and two-character handles are held back by LENDZ and are not listed here.
